Crunchy Salba Berry Crumb Tart

Ingredients
pints of frozen berries
salt
brown sugar, packed
Dry Salba seeds for filling
Granulated sugar for filling
granulated sugar
all purpose flour
whole wheat flour
Almonds or hazlenuts
Dry Salba seeds
Cooking Instructions
Prepare Salba/berry or fruit mixture the day before along with the nuts
Combine berries and Salba by drizzling Salba slowly over the berries while mixing with a spoon. Add sugar and mix well. Cover and let stand in refridgerator for 24 hours.
To prepare crumb/crust topping preheat oven to 350 degrees, spread nuts on a baking pan and roast, stirring occasionally for about 10 minutes
Remove nuts from the over and let cool on a plate
Set oven temp to 450 degrees
Put nuts in a food processor and chop until finely ground but not sticky
In a bowl, mix together the nuts, Salba, flour, sugar, and salt
Add in the cubes of butter and and work the mixture with a pastry blender until crumbs form
Pour half of the crumb mix into the bottom of a 9 or 10 inch tart pan and spread evenly
Spread berry mixture into the crust evenly
Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown then let cool
Serve warm with ice cream
